Nabokov didn’t want any sexy little girls on the cover of his Lolita, and artist Sako Kojima says that there is a “forest inside every woman”. Mori does mean “forest” in Japanese and, as in the Russian master’s novel, the nymphets are all on the inside. Digitally painted in a seapunk palette, filled with blobby cuddly animals and floating symbols, this is a zine about girly affects, cute and a little perverse.

The setting is a forest where tennyboppers practice unfathomable rituals to the rhythm of sound bites from shōjo manga. In the end, there’s an omake/extra where kind of wrong things happen with a gnome and a pineapple.

O Nabokov não queria meninas sexy na capa do seu Lolita, e a Sako Kojima diz que há uma “floresta dentro de cada mulher.” Mori quer mesmo dizer “floresta” em japonês e, tal como na novela do mestre russo, as ninfetas estão todas lá dentro. Pintado digitalmente numa paleta seapunk, recheado de animais débeis-fofinhos e símbolos flutuantes, este é um zine sobre espaços de afectos girly, cute e um bocadinho perversos.

O cenário é um bosque onde tennyboppers praticam rituais insondáveis ao ritmo de sound bites de shoujo manga. No final, há um omake/extra em que coisas erradas acontecem com um duende e um ananás.
