Malmö Kebab Party is a “travel zine” included in Chili Com Carne's LowCCCost collection as a special issue. It recounts the adventures and misadventures of five artists – Afonso Ferreira, Amanda Baeza, Hetamoé, Rudolfo and Sofia Neto – during their trip to the comics festival AltCom in Malmö, Sweden, to present the QCDA book project. They spent a week there feeding on kebab and falafel, making new friends (including Mr. Pineapple, on the cover) and drowning their sorrows in alcohol. And they even saw the Baltic Sea! 

My contribution, “Hetamoé’s Malmö,” takes a diaristic approach to telling my experience of Malmö and the trip. Many of the comics panels are graphic renditions of smartphone photographs which I posted to my Instagram account during this time.

Malmö Kebab Party é um “zine de viagem” e número especial da colecção LowCCCost da Chili com Carne. Contas as aventuras e desventuras de cinco artistas – Afonso Ferreira, Amanda Baeza, Hetamoé, Rudolfo and Sofia Neto – durante a sua viagem ao festival de banda desnehada AltCom em Malmö, na Suécia, para apresentar o projecto QCDA. Passaram uma semana a alimentarem-se à base de kebab e falafel, fizeram novos amigos (incluidno o Sr. Ananás na capa) e afogando as suas mágoas em álcool. Até viram o Mar Báltico.

A minha contribuição, “Hetamoé’s Malmö”, usa uma abordagem diarística para contar a minha experiência de Malmö e da viagem. Muitos dos painéis da banda desenhada são representações gráficas de fotografias de smartphone que publiquei na minha conta do Instagram durante este período.
